Great idea for the theme Karen! I love dogs too and what an important concept to teach children, how dogs truly can help humans in a variety of ways. I'm sure you won't have trouble finding great dogs books but here are a few that come to mind instantly for me:
ReplyDeleteShiloh, Old Yeller, Where the Red Fern Grows, Silver, and Stone Fox~ all appropriate books for grades 2-4. For a more gifted reader of this age group, Julie of the Wolves might be another book to consider.
